The track and field team had a good first day at the DCSAA Championships. 9th Grader Zoe Edelman earned fourth overall in the 3200m, running a huge PR of 12:01, setting the mark extremely high for the future.
Luke Tewalt is quickly becoming the person to beat. He had a stellar performance in the 3200m, running a time of 9:33, taking the meet record and first place finish overall. This is the fastest time in the city this season in that event!
The boys’ 4x200m team, consisting of DJ Okuleye, Chima Ukaegbu, Shomari Stevens, and Ayinde Motirayo finished fourth overall. DJ (pictured) qualified for and will run in the 100m finals today, and Ayinde qualified for and will run in the 200m finals today as well.
The coaches and student-athletes look forward to your support at this meet.
